Xbox has some great purchases available in the Microsoft Store if you’re looking for the horror genre.
I picked up a digital copy of the remastered Ghostbusters for only $9.89, and if you haven’t played it, it’s definitely worth it. You get to run around and play with some of the original cast including Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Ernie Hudson.
DayZ is on sale as well for $29.99. I have mixed feelings on this one. Since it’s an online only game, the players you interact with determine the tone. And every time I’ve played, it’s had a very racist tone. DayZ has one of the most toxic communities online ever. I recommend staying away until there’s a good way to report other players. If I missed that feature, let me know in the comments.
Other discounted games include Dead Island, Dead Rising, The Sinking City and Zombie Army. 7 Days to Die is marked down to $14.99 and I’ve always wanted to play it, but the reviews steered me clear of it. According to other players, someone else had bought the rights to the console version and no update was every performed so Xbox users were left with a slightly broken game.
Surprisingly, neither of the State of Decay games were discounted. State of Decay 2 is probably the best zombie survival game on the Xbox One. However, it is available to play for free on Game Pass.And speaking of Game Pass, you can still get up to 36 months of it for just $1.
